Every drum is handcrafted to perfection and utilizes our proprietary technologies resulting in a very special instrument that sounds as beautiful as it looks. AVS: Asymmetrical Voice Signature
AVS takes advantage of an asymmetrical use of shell materials, proprietary reinforcement ring design, venting and edging geometry that work together seamlessly to enhance the attack from the batter head while reducing its sustain. At the same time, these technologies create an environment within the drum that allows the resonant head to activate more quickly and sustain with a long-lasting, lower fundamental. The result is a phenomenal tone that makes a lasting impression both onstage and in the studio.
Tri-tone Shell Construction
The Orybon Voice is attained in part by a unique, three-layer shell construction. The inner two layers are opposing densities that work in partnership to suppress ring while increasing sustain. The outer layer then applies a beautiful tone character with a choice of three different materials.The finished look is then created with an additional thin outer ply of hardwood veneer. Orybon drums are available in Tri-tone Walnut, Tri-tone Cherry and Tri-tone Maple.
